The Praxis Gallery is pleased to present Matias Huart and his ‘generative’ method. His biros style competes with the precision of machines and dismantles the belief in technological innovation. In contrast to artificial intelligence, the artist recurs to a ‘natural’ one. In the spirit of post-humanism, he encourages us to abandon purely human perspectives and allow a more comprehensive coexistence with non-human existence. Boundaries between humans, machines and nature are abolished.
The large-format drawings of recent years represent the unknown with a strong physical presence, though without grounding. The small bronze sculptures created 25 years earlier in Burkina Faso resemble idols and perform balan-cing acts. Matias Huart creates a reality of his own. His cosmos encourages us to redefine the essence of being human in the face of catastrophes.
The Fondation d’art contemporain Matias Huart was founded in Avignon in 2021. It has exhibited his work regularly ever since.
An important collection of large-format drawings can be found in the collection of the Kunstmuseum Basel and in the Helvetia Art Collection.

Monica Pustilnik presents a selection from her repertoire, in harmony with the drawings featured in the exhibition, which are likewise inspired by the Baroque. The program includes works by Picinini, Da Milano, and Kapsberger.
Born in Buenos Aires, she captivates the European stage as a soloist, chamber musician, and musical director. Collaborating with prestigious opera houses – from the Opéra Garnier to the Aix-en-Provence Festival – she conducts Purcell in Geneva and Monteverdi across Europe. For twenty years, she has shared her craft in Paris, Barcelona, and Geneva. Her radiant discography echoes with Harmonia Mundi, Virgin, and Arcana.
